Fish From Japan sign to Toolroom

UK based House collective Fish From Japan have signed a handful of new tracks to the uber dance imprint Toolroom.


The label have taken a bunch of new titled from the act that range from down and dirty club tools to the more melodic and chilled Balearic vibes that FFJ are known for.



The new material should see the light of day early in the new year. In the meantime Fish From Japan hit the studio again this week to work on a new batch of creations. Early demos are already sounding very tasty!

Mason signs to Island Records

Mason has joined the likes of little known acts such as
U2, Bob Marley and Amy Winehouse in signing a deal with the legendary Island Records.

As part of the Universal Music Group, the imprint is one of the most prestigious stables in the world and Mason and Big Fish Little Fish are pretty chuffed to be on board. 

Island will be working on the release of Mason’s ‘Papapapa’ which first surfaced on the Belgian indie label LouLou Records and became a huge Beatport hit.

Mason and Sharam Jey collaborate on Bunny Tiger

Mason has collaborated with Sharam Jey on a new release for Bunny Tiger. The label is owned by Sharam and has built up a hefty following among house heads over the last couple of years and going from strength to strength with its distinct sound. This one is a banger!!!

Heliotype Radio 1 Hatrick

House producer and creator of Balearic Bass vibes picked up the third of a hatrick of spins on Radio 1 over the weekend for his track 'Girl From Tomorrow'. Radio 1 Xtra's DJ Monki has now aired the track 3 weeks on the bounce.


The track, part of his new EP release of the same name has been gaining massive support from Capital, XFM and other influential radio stations as well as a host of the most discerning club DJs out there. Heliotype has even had support from the legendary KCRW in Los Angeles.

The ensuing heat has caused several large labels to start sniffing around, as they do!

Heliotype with Radio 1 backed E.P. release

UK based producer Heliotype has been enjoying widespread support for his latest release 'The Girl From Tomorrow'.


The E.P. which features three tracks of his trademark "Balearic Bass" is picking up hype from all corners of the House scene.

Tracks have hit the airwaves of Radio 1 courtesy of support from DJ Monki as well as picking up plays on Captitol FM, Kiss, Sirius and other respected shows around the World.

Mason's new Beatport No.1!!!!

Mason hit the very top spot on the Beatport Indie Dance chart this week with his latest release 'Papapapa'. This cheeky slice of bouncy House comes courtesy of burgeoning imprint LouLou Records, run by Kolombo and LouLou Players.


'Papapapa' is now rising swiftly up the main chart and looks set to be a big tune this year as the Sun makes an appearance once again.

In the meantime Mason is girding his loins for the next Nite Rite release on his own Animal Language Records. As usual that will surface on the next full moon.

Mason's LouLou Records release makes chart hatrick

Mason releases his hotly anticipated 'Papapapa' this week on LouLou Records, the label owned jointly by LouLou Players and Kolombo. 'Papapapa' features on part of an EP with a selection of hip new producers including fellow Amsterdammer and Dutch Disco cohort Quinten 909.




The track completes a trio of releases all in Beatport's Indie Dance chart at there moment with Mason and Moonbootica's 'My Love' and the latest Nite Rite, number Three, all climbing.

In the meantime Mason is working on the next Nite Rite single and a host of very interesting collaborations which should see the light of day in
this half of 2015.

Loopmasters launch 'Tru Disco'

Loopmasters, the market leaders in sample packs have launched a new series called 'Tru Disco'. The new release is the brainchild of Big Fish Little Fish Music collaborator Clive Mead. Clive is also behind two very successful 'Atalanta Chill' sample packs.



Tru Disco embraces Clive's love of scratchy analogue instruments and well as live playing with fastidiously recorded parts aimed at providing producers with seriously authentic disco samples.

Mason and Moonbootica Sweat It Out with E.P.

Mason has joined forces with German electronic legends Moonbootica to release a 3 track EP this week.

The E.P. led by the feel good nu-disco goodness of 'My Love' hits Beatport this week courtesy of Aussie imprint Sweat It Out. The track is already starting to dent the chart.


The 'My Love E.P. also contains two other belting Indie-dance tunes in the shape of 'Action' and 'Nightingale'.

Mason up for International Dance Music Award

Mason has been nominated for an IDMA award at the Winter Music Conference in Miami this year. The nomination comes in the 'Best Tech House Record' category for the recently re-released 'Exceeder' remixed by Umek and Mike Vale.

We'd love to see Mason tearfully accepting the ward in Miami later this month, so fingers crossed!


In the meantime the Amsterdam based producer is busy in the studio making more releases for his brand new 'Nite Rite' series. These tracks are dark, clubby cuts that are released every full moon!

Secure start to the year for Mason

Mason's first release of the new year sees the Amsterdammer putting out  two tracks on Bart B More's Secure Recordings.


The tracks, 'Palmetto' and 'Calabrese' are already garnering strong support on the underground with fans such as James Zabiela, Digitalism and Danny Howard. 


The new E.P has also just entered the DMC Buzz Chart at No.4. Not a bad start!

In the meantime Mason is back in the studio making more new tracks to ensure 2015 is a big year.
